Digital innovation set to take the spotlight at the Online Influence (Oi) conference 2016

Global companies will come together this month at Wales’s largest social media and new technology event.

Google, Buzzfeed, and Unilever are just some of the big names set to descend on Cardiff on 21 April for the Online Influence (Oi) conference 2016, where more than 450 delegates from across the UK will hear about the latest online and mobile marketing capabilities from some of the world’s leading experts in digital technology.

The conference will comprise of four keynote speakers and six masterclasses, focussing on digital, mobile and social media, with the use of online content, video and messaging apps taking a particular emphasis. Other hot topics will include instant messaging, dark social and social data.

The day will see Jeremy Waite, head of digital strategy at Salesforce, kick off the conference as a keynote speaker to discuss email, mobile and social business. Jan Wiechers, brand evangelist at Google will discuss helping the company prepare for the digital age.

Buzzfeed’s head of brand partnerships, Simon Low, will attend for the first time to talk about the website’s innovative use of content, which has reshaped the digital landscape worldwide,  making ‘listicle’ the buzz word of the moment.

Representatives from Unilever and the World Wildlife Federation (WWF) have also been confirmed as speakers, with the WWF’s social media manager discussing the organisation’s recent #EndangeredEmoji Twitter campaign.
