Welsh communications agency named as one of the UK’s top consultancies

Freshwater UK has been named as one of the UK’s top management consultancies in an independent report published by the Financial Times – the only Welsh company to feature in a list of 187 organisations.

Further cementing its position as one of the top providers of communications advice to public sector organisations undergoing major change, Freshwater was awarded a four star ranking in the Public and Social Care Sector, based on independent recommendations from clients and industry peers.

Headquartered in Cardiff, with a second office in central London, 30% of Freshwater’s total revenue was derived from public sector work in 2016/17. The agency also secured coveted new positions on two major government frameworks last year.

“Outcomes matter, and perhaps never more so than in the field of public sector communications,” commented John Underwood, Freshwater’s chief executive.

“To receive recognition for our impact and expertise in this area is something we’re very proud of, and this is magnified when you consider Freshwater was the only Welsh-headquartered organisation to feature.

“While this ranking demonstrates our capability at a UK level, it’s also a welcome reminder that strategic communications expertise doesn’t solely lie within the confines of the M25.”
