Freshwater was commissioned to promote positive messages about this established, independent school through the media to reach its target audiences, to leverage coverage from achievements of the school, its pupils and former pupils/parents and to minimise the impact of potentially negative stories.
Our PR campaign focused on key activities within the school year, whether that is the annual Open Day, development of new facilities, sports fixtures or positive exam results. News releases and photo opportunities were created alongside editorial support for advertorial opportunities in key media. One to one interviews were set up between the Rector and education/news media and profiles of members of staff, pupils and former pupils (Accies) were arranged.
Over a number of years working with the Academy, significant media coverage has been achieved. In addition, we have advised the school on the appropriate course of action when necessary, and dealt with media enquiries, where appropriate.
