Freshwater were briefed by the Isle of Skye Whisky to raise the profile of the brand and its association with the rich food offering on the island.
To do this, we created the concept of whisky and food matching and set up a partnership with Shirley Spear of award winning world famous restaurant, The Three Chimneys on Skye. We worked with Shirley to develop a number of recipes using local food at Isle of Skye Whisky which Shirley then produced at several BBC Good Food Show events. We then created on-pack promotions to win luxury food trips to the Isle of Skye.
We secured a partnership with Visit Scotland for the recipes to be featured in their Autumn Moments magazine, as well as the October issues of delicious and BBC Good Food magazines. This was supported through widespread media relations targeting trade, national, regional and broadcast media.
