Newport Transport approached Freshwater to create a brand for ‘Unigo’, the UK’s first student smartcard to use ITSO compliant smartcard technology. The newly launched Smartcard would be used to board buses as part of a new student bus service being launched by Newport Transport and Newport University.
Freshwater created a brand that would appeal to university students but also worked alongside the Newport Transport brand. A one month bus pass was created initially allowing students to travel for free, promoting the new Unigo smartcard.
During this period, the new service launch was supported with posters, flyers and roll ups at freshers’ week and throughout Newport University.
