Continued growth sees three new recruits for Freshwater Wales

Media group Freshwater UK has appointed three new members of staff and promoted an existing team member in its Wales division to strengthen the company’s offering following continued growth from new business wins and repeat business from existing clients.

Annabel John joins as senior account executive, while Sally Taylor and Rhian Rogers have both been recruited as account executives. Elinor Evans has been promoted to senior account manager. All will help further support Freshwater’s delivery of integrated communication services to its diverse client base.

Annabel John, 25, joins with two years’ experience at a communications agency where she worked on a range of public relations, public affairs and marketing campaigns after completing a French and German degree at Cardiff University.

Rhian Rogers, 25, a graduate of Cardiff University in Journalism, Film and Broadcasting, joins Freshwater having previously worked as a communications and marketing officer producing content across multiple platforms, including digital, press and social media.

Sally Taylor, 25, brings two years’ of industry experience with her to Freshwater having previously worked for a public relations agency on completion of an English Literature and Language degree and Masters in Forensic Linguistics at Cardiff University. Newly promoted senior account manager, Elinor Evans, 27, joined the team in July 2013 with five years’ experience in the communications industry following agency roles and at national charity, Comic Relief.

A Welsh-language speaker, Miss Evans plays a key role in many of the group’s integrated campaigns, providing strategic advice to clients as to which communications channels work best to meet their objectives.

These latest appointments follow a host of new business wins with public and private sector clients including the League Against Cruel Sports, CIPD, City & Guilds and the Welsh Government. Additionally, Freshwater continues to be briefed on new projects from existing clients including Specsavers, Thompsons Solicitors, Unite the Union and BT.

Carolyn Pugsley, director of Freshwater in Wales, said: “We deliver work across the communications spectrum with an emphasis on providing a fully integrated approach, and having an experienced and talented team is critical to us being able to create impactful campaigns for our clients.

“These new appointments and promotion within the Wales team mean that we are well positioned to service the increased workload as well as take advantage of new market opportunities.”
